You have literally just epitomised my complete disdain for these books.
However I'm going to follow because I always love to read posts from other book lovers :)Sammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01357654747136705540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6094062361825942660.post-39546590959410761422012-11-10T09:08:06.470+00:002012-11-10T09:08:06.470+00:00People keep asking me "Oh you read a lot, you...People keep asking me "Oh you read a lot, you'll have read that 50 shades haven't you?" I think this post was a big response to that haha! I agree - mindless and boring. People I know who don't read much because "it's boring", then gush over a book like this....I pick the book up, only to find my suspicions confirmed: horribly written, terrible plot, the equivalent to watching reality tv all day long. I am loving this post!Bookworm Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17037194333222042002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6094062361825942660.post-45437059538739403532012-11-08T17:09:56.728+00:002012-11-08T17:09:56.728+00:00Oh god, it sounds medieval! I'm even angrier now at the books being touted as "liberating for women"!Sophiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10572915461004007383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6094062361825942660.post-6269668285447931472012-11-08T17:00:59.853+00:002012-11-08T17:00:59.853+00:00I read the first one and that was enough for me. ...I read the first one and that was enough for me. It wasn't the sex - I don't care about that. It was the abuse. He stalks her, scares her and controls her. Typical abusive relationship. And yet somehow women find this sexy? This so completely repulses me. It's like when romance novels were first written and the hero would rape the heroine and then they fall in love. WHAT?

Sorry. I know so few people who didn't love the books and it just makes me so angry. This book doesn't liberate women's sexuality, it tells them that domestic abuse is ok.

And yes - the writing is lazy and sucks. It's just bad.Sushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10552908436147965630noreply@blogger.com
